By using Find The Rules you accept these terms. They are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

What this site is

A reference describing how games are commonly played. Entries are written and reviewed by editors, but they are a description, not an authority. Where an official governing body publishes rules, we link to it, and that body’s text always prevails over ours.

No warranty

Content is provided as-is. We work hard on accuracy and we correct errors when they are reported, but we do not warrant that any entry is complete, current, or correct for your edition, region or competition. Do not rely on this site to settle a wager, a tournament dispute, or anything else with real consequences — check the governing body.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a guarantee under that law applies and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to supplying the service again.

Contributions

By submitting a game or a correction you confirm that:

• You wrote it yourself, in your own words.
• You are not copying text from a rulebook, website or other protected work.
• You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, edit and adapt it.

We review everything before publishing and may edit, reject or later remove any submission without explanation. Do not send anything confidential — the form is public and unauthenticated.

Intellectual property

The rules of a game are facts and are not themselves protected by copyright. The specific wording, structure and design of this site are ours. Game names, logos and trade marks belong to their respective owners, and their use here is nominative — to identify the game being described. It does not imply endorsement or any affiliation.

If you own rights in a game and object to how it is described, write to us and we will respond promptly.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit spam, advertising, abuse, or deliberately false rules.
• Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others.
• Attempt to access the editor tools or any non-public endpoint.
• Interfere with the security controls described in our documentation.

Advertising and partnerships

The site is funded by advertising, and game publishers may pay for verified placement. Paid placement is labelled. It never changes the substance of a rule set, and rules for a paying partner’s game are held to the same editorial standard as any other.

Availability

We make no promise of uptime and may change or withdraw the service at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continued use means acceptance.
